It is one of most common skin diseases marked by chronic and recurrent course. The distribution of changes in the area of hairy scalp is very common and very often it precedes the appearance of efflorescence in other places (e.g. ankles, knees, the back area). What is more, it can be the only manifestation of the disease for many years. Changes of the form of confluent erythematous focus covered with laminar flakes are generally present on the border of smooth skin and hairy scalp but can also appear on the whole head. Changes in the structure of hair and the area of alopecia focuses are not observed in case of this disease.
