Lichen acuminatus

It is a chronic disease, in which apart from a typical location within smooth skin and mucosa, the changes can be located on hairy scalp as well. In a clinical picture pilaris papules and hyperkeratotic rings located around connective tissue hair sheaths are observed. Additionally, in more advanced disease stages there appear alopecia focuses of various sizes. The changes are often combined with itching of scalp and the feeling of tension and hyperesthesia of hairy scalp.

In trichoscopy there is stated loss of connective tissue hair sheaths vents in the central part of the focus and a perifollicular inflammatory condition with perifollicular hyperkeratosis.

Curing: immunosuppressive medicaments used topically or in more advanced cases – orally.
